African Legends(1 day)

One-day visit of the Kassa region, its architecture and craftwork typical of Casamance. In a peaceful village under the shade of giant teaks, enjoy the charm of a village market with its pottery and colourful wickerwork. After lunch, visit the craft centre of an African Mission, and local mud houses with their sculpted pillars. Back to the Resort via the forest. For information:

Transport by 4x4

Angling (1/2 day or day)

Trolling and bottom-fishing in the bolongs and on the River Casamance. Motorboats with crew and modern fishing tackle.
Outing with grilled fish lunch on a desert island.

Crayfish dinner (evening)

Enjoy a gastronomic dinner of grilled crayfish. Starter and dessert of your choice, cocktail, café or herb tea, mineral water and a half-bottle of wine.

Cruise in Casamance (1 day)

Recommended by our Excursions desk. An unforgettable trip down the bolongs on board a motorised catamaran, from which you can admire the flora and fauna of Casamance. Visit a traditional village, Ourong, before moving on to Carabane via the River Casamance for a typical Senegalese meal, drinks included. After eating, you can relax and swim, or visit the village. Return in a festive and relaxed atmosphere.

Diola Mass (1/2 day)

Sunday mass sung in Diola by the inhabitants of Djembering in a church shaded by the baobabs and kapok trees.

In the heart of the bolongs (1/2 day)

Sail on the wildest and most remote stretches of the bolongs (birds, varans, mongoose). Visit to the village of Vandaye, its school, houses and wrestlers. Meet fetichists in the village of Djissor at Ihid, the Island of Sorcerers. For information: Transport by bus and pirogue

Mountain bike ride - ecotourism excursion (1/2 day)

Oussouye special This guided tour through the Diola villages gives you the opportunity to appreciate the beauty and fascinating culture of the region.

Terre Diola (1 day)

Recommended by our Excursions desk. A days outing in the bush and waterways. Watch out for the waders as you navigate the mangrove and its islands in a pirogue. Stop off in a fishing village where you can see the fish market and the pirogue-makers. Typical lunch on the boat. Wrestling match in the village and visit of the village school. You will continue through the rice fields and palm groves in a 4x4, stopping to taste palm wine made by fetishists. Genuuine Africa.

For customers who have not bought the transport package. Airport / Resort, transfer by taxi. Transfer from Cap Skirring airport to the Resort takes around 5 minutes. Village Information

"Experience the exceptional" Resort

The Resort of Cap Skirring is in the South of Senegal, lying drowsily in the shade of a coconut grove along the edge of a fine sandy beach. The natural materials, primitive frescoes and thatched roof bungalows dotted around this tropical garden create a serene and typically African atmosphere in the Resort.

A Resort that is also greatly appreciated for its 9-hole golf course*, part of which runs along the sea shore, and for its catamaran trips. Here, a typical day is made up of long, relaxing swims, excursions* and Club Med Fitness activities. * at extra cost

Beach

A superb beach of fine white sand over 1,500 yards long. The sea floor is sandy and the water is shallow at the edge, with waves that make swimming a real joy. The beach is equipped with deckchairs, showers and a beach bar. Hammocks are available in the coconut grove running alongside the beach.

Parks and Gardens

Gardens of fromager, coconut palms, ronier and calbassier trees, with a few baobabs, flamboyants and traveller’s palms and a variety of other magnificently colourful species. A superb coconut palm grove runs the length of the beach.
