Antalya (1/2 day)

Between the Taurus Mountains and the sparkling Mediterranean Sea, this flourishing city is now widely considered to be a gem of a destination. Set between history's ancient cities and legends, at the heart of the old city centre, Ottoman houses stand alongside Roman ruins. Make the most of the transfer and your free time to do some shopping, and stroll in the shade of the city walls in a maze of tiny narrow streets that lead you down to the harbour. For information

Cruise and Phaselis (1 day)

Recommended by our Excursions desk. As you relax on the deck of a caïque (traditional wooden sailboat), Phaselis suddenly comes into view. After sailing along the Turquoise coast, the caïque drops anchor, and a ferryboat takes you to shore. The ruins of Phaselis - of Roman and Byzantine origin - are an idyllic site to visit, alongside three beautiful bays. Back on the boat, a lunch of Turkish specialities awaits you, before you round off the day with a swim in a charming creek. Nature and culture in perfect harmony. For your information

Demre - Myra - Simena (1 day)

Recommended by our Excursions desk. Perched above a beautiful hamlet overlooking the turquoise sea, the fortress of the Crusaders incites the traveller's imagination. At the heart of this fertile delta, reached by the road that winds down from the mountains, you'll find Demre, long regarded as an important religious centre. Saint Nicolas, better known as Santa Claus, lived here and Saint Paul stopped off here on his journey to Rome. To the east, 2 kms (1.25 miles) inland, lies Myra, where you'll find a Greek-Roman amphitheatre surrounded by Lycian tombs dug out of the rock. After a local lunch, you'll sail along the coast to the underwater city of Simena, admire the famous Lycian necropolis from the top of the fortress, and take a swim in the warm blue waters. Dolphinarium (1/2 day)

Watch the show and swim with the dolphins. Apart from their magnificent beauty, meeting these "angels of the sea" with their perpetual smile and infinitely soft skin, like silk stretched to its limits, remains an incredibly emotional experience. Swimming with the dolphins and sharing their wonderful company in an enclosed pool is an exceptional moment

Fabulous Istambul (1 day)

East and West meet here. A legendary city, symbol of exotic luxury, Istanbul* is a sheer delight. Blending nostalgia and modernity, each building tells a story relating to an episode of history: the Blue Mosque and the Santa Sophia Basilica, the ancient hippodrome, the treasure of the Topkapi Palace and the great Bazaar for shopping. Fascinating walks, cruises on the Bosphorus and meals in speciality restaurants are other highlights of a stay in Istanbul. Pammukkale and Hierapolis (1 day)

For the lucky visitors of Pamukkale*, nature has created the spectacular Cotton Castle with its magical petrified waterfalls. Rich in minerals, the petrified falls produce strange shapes of dazzling white. The hot springs were used by the Romans for their therapeutic powers. After lunch, the sight of Hierapolis, standing proud in a cotton field, will take you back to Roman times. Necropolises, temples, churches, thermal baths and theatres standing out against the hillside are a vivid illustration of the secrets of this once grandiose city. * UNESCO World Heritage site. Perge - Aspendos (1/2 day)

According to the legend, many years ago, the king of Aspendos promised the hand of his daughter Semiramis to the person who built her the most beautiful monument. We are just 15 kms (9 miles) from the frenzy of the beaches. The ancient city of Perge owes its fame to the immense Roman and Hellenistic gates. Located between the theatre and the city walls, the horseshoe-shaped ruins of the largest stadium in Asia Minor enabled 12,000 spectators to watch the pedestrian games and chariot races. Founded in the 2nd century in the reign of Marcus Aurelius, Aspendos is home to the most beautiful Roman theatre in the whole of Asia Minor. Look out for a rare feature in Hellenistic theatres: the impressive scaenae frons (background of a Roman theatre stage) adorned with niches. This journey through time will give you an idea of the extent to which the Romans were precursors in sport and leisure. For your information

Sunset Cruise

Legend has it that the Garden of Eden lies somewhere along the Lycian coast. As the gentle light enhances and enchants the contours of the landscape, your Turkish sailing boat, like the ancient schooners, glides silently over the idyllic blue waters. From your comfortable vantage point on deck, soak up the perfection of your surroundings, with their exotically wild creeks and rugged mountains. For information:

Walking in the Kuzdere Valley (1/2 day)

In a fabulous setting, take the mule tracks lined with orange trees and bougainvillea, running through the mountains and along the coast. Spectacular view of the Phaselis peninsula.

4x4 Safari (1/2 day)

The convoy makes its way up into the Taurus Mountains through pine forests and nomadic villages perched in the foothills of Mount Tahtali. You'll see some fabulous scenery as your 4x4 vehicle winds its way up, until at 1,000 metres (3,300 ft), the village of Gedelme suddenly comes into sight. As you walk through the narrow streets of this typical village you'll be struck by the friendliness of its inhabitants; the two focal points of the visit are the castle and a plane tree over a thousand years of age. You can taste the local tea and bread, and take a dip in the river. For information:

The Club Med Pass® is an internal payment card that you can use for all your purchases in the Resort during your stay. The card is issued against payment of a 250 Euro deposit (pre-authorisation by Visa, Club Med Amex, Amex or Mastercard).

Climate

In summer, Turkey is a dreamed country for the lovers of the sea and the sun. On the west and south coasts, the summer is dry and particularly sunny. In the South, in Antalya, the temperature of the sea reaches 20°C (68°F) from the end of April and goes up to 27°C (80.6°F) in July, August, and 23°C (73.5°F) in September, October. Nights are cool at the beginning and at the end of season.

“Enjoy your passion for sports” Resort. On the Mediterranean coast near Antalya, the Club Med Resort at Kemer was established in 1979. It offers cosy comfort in an untamed and preserved natural environment: a sheltered bay with charming creeks running into the turquoise sea, by the flower-clad slopes of the Taurus Mountains. With its warm waters all year round and long sunny days, Kemer is dedicated to watersports and fitness. Beach

There are two main beaches: A beautiful beach stretching over 180 yards along the edge of the pine wood. Another beach, over 80 yards long, near the main bar. These beaches are made of sand brought up from the river; a few stones or pebbles underfoot when you walk into the water (not on the beach
itself). Equipped with deckchairs, sun shades and showers.
