Le Pays Mélés

Surrounded by coconut palms in the centre of the Resort, a great buffet restaurant for tasting cuisine from around the world with friends. The terrace has a magnificent view over the beach and sea.

This restaurant/ bar right on the waters edge, by the beach, is open all day and evening. It serves light lunches, with salads and grilled meats, and delicious Asian/West Indian fusion cuisine in the evenings.

      Set off towards the Gardens of Balata, through the tropical forest. Visit the centre of Saint Pierre, on the Caribbean coast, and the museum devoted to the 1902 eruption. Return by the coast road.

      Learn the rudiments of how to row a yole from a local champion, and enjoy a 2-hour outing, followed by a tasting session (local punch and cakes. Leave from the Club Med beach.

Climate

The best period to go to the West Indies is from December to May. Temperatures are very pleasant; not too hot with lots of sun and occasional thundery showers. The rainy season lasts from mid-July to November. October is the most humid month, showers are fierce and spectacular but do not last long. Temperature of the sea : Water in the West Indies is good for swimming the whole year round. The temperature can reach 28°C (82,4 °F) from July to October and does not fall under 26°C (78,8 °F) during the dry season.

Beach

The public beach is long and narrow, it stretches over 1 km (700 yards) of white sand. It is the most beautiful beach on the island, with shallow waters close to the beach and a sandy floor. The beach is equipped with deckchairs.

Accommodation

The Resort has 293 rooms all located in bungalows. The Resort is just next door to the village of Sainte Anne, alongside the island's most beautiful beach, next to Marin Bay. The bungalows 1 to 3 floors, with no lift) are located in different zones of a tropical garden on the seafront, flanked by a magnificent coconut grove and a white sand beach.
