The Golfo

This beach restaurant, has a dual personality and a panoramic view over the sea. Snacks served at lunchtime. From 1 July 2009, enjoy dinner in a more refined, intimate atmosphere to discover and savour our speciality menu.

BABY CORNER special service

This Baby Zone, in the Resorts buffet restaurant, offers a special service for babies, with sweet and savoury baby foods and all the equipment necessary for preparing your babys meals.

Available all day and evening (during bar opening hours) in all the bars in the Resort (including the nightclub). Drinks included(served by the glass and in the bars only) : Water, fruit juices, sodas, hot drinks, cocktails with and without alcohol, local and/or international spirits, wines. Children & Teens

Mini Club Med: creativity and energy for 4 to 10 years - Juniors' Club Med: independence and party spirit for 11 to 17 years. From 4 to 10 years, the children have a thirst for everything, Mini Club Med has planned everything to meet these needs. Juniors' Club Med is a way for young people from 11 to 17 years to meet friends, take part in their favourite activities and join in the Club Med Village life.

Club Med Baby Welcome® (from 0 to 23 months) Included in your package

Everything for the comfort and wellbeing of babies and their parents! Personal welcome, baby equipment available in the room and/or at the baby food equipment station (cots, baby-changing mats, baby baths, high-chairs on request, baby bottle warmer), suitable food (sweet and savoury baby food, baby corner containing the necessary utensils to prepare meals, high chairs and/or seat boosters in the restaurant). Spare pushchairs are also available.

Petit Club Med® (from 2 to less than 4 years) OPTIONAL EXTRA*

At this age, we are no longer a baby, but we still need to be closely monitored. It’s the time for those first discoveries: the leisure of waking, walking and outdoor play, a full and balanced breakfast (especially designed for the needs of the young), a nap or quiet time, creative activities and of course, snack time, a true feast for those with a sweet tooth! The activities follow the progress of children, distributed into age groups. From 7.30 pm, after dinner with parents, children return to the Petit Club Med®. While the parents have a peaceful dinner, the young ones finish their day with a calm evening. For your information: Nappies and baby milk are not provided at the Petit Club Med®.

Mini Club Med® (from 4 to less than 11 years) Included in your package

Create and let off steam. At this age, children have a thirst for everything... The Mini Club Med® has planned everything to respond to this need of discovery in all directions. Sport, fun and creative activities. Children are distributed into sub-groups according to their age. One hour shower stop before dinner.

Juniors’ Club Med ® (from 11 to less than 18 years) Included in your package

It is a great classic of the Club Med for teenagers, in which they are distributed into 2 age groups. Teenagers, independence and parties. Club Med offers everything but imposes nothing. A true state of mind, both free and exclusive, which thrills the young. The Juniors' Club Med® enables teenagers to meet among themselves and participate in activities of their choice while taking part in the life of the Village. Offered only during school holidays, six days a week. Service is included in package price.

Baby food equipment Included in your package

Open 24/24, it provides all the utensils necessary for preparing meals: mixer, sterilizer (provided only on request), microwave, fridge, bottle warmer (systematically provided in the room for the G.M.® who have reserved a Baby Club Med® or Club Med Baby Welcome® service), and additional products such as mineral water, fruits, full-fat and semi-skimmed long-life milk (baby formula milk not provided).

The playgrounds independent of the supervised structures for children are accessible to children accompanied by their parents.

"Between two seas" evening

Perched on the mountainside and sandwiched between two seas, Triolo is a small peaceful village with a very old history. You'll be welcomed on arrival in the village square, from which you can stroll through the narrow streets that lead up to the castle. Typical dinner followed by a folkloric evening. Cruise to the Aeoian Islands (1 day)

Discover the majestic landscapes of islands where the spirit of the gods and giants is still present, in the heart of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Visit Stromboli, renowned for its beauty and volcanic eruptions. Visit the acropolis of Lipari and its charming fishing village. At Vulcano, stroll through the back streets of the village and enjoy the benefits of its sulphur-rich spa water. UNESCO World Heritage site. For information:

Explore the beautiful and rare region of Calabria with its hills and high plateaux, where the colour green blends with the golden earth. You'll visit Serra San Bruno, named after the celebrated German monk, the valleys of olive groves and their charming villages.

Reggio Calabria (1/2 day)

Recommended by our Excursions desk. Right at the tip of the boot (the southernmost tip of Italy), Reggio was founded in the 8th century BC by the Greeks, a period of great splendour, rich in history and tradition. You'll have a guided tour of the not-to-be-missed National Museum which houses amongst other treasures the famous Riace Bronzes. Then take a walk into the heart of the town, where you can admire the Neo-Roman style cathedral with its superb baroque chapel, and the Aragonese castle. For information:

Tropea (1/2 day)

Recommended by our Excursions desk. Located atop a cliff with a sheer drop down to a turquoise sea, Tropea has preserved numerous traces of its age-old history. You'll love its churches, the Norman-style Dome and narrow backstreets. It also has some good shops! (free tome). For your information

Vibo, Pizzo and Piedigrotta (1/2 day)

Your visit will begin with the village of Vibo Valentia, where you'll see the archaeological museum and Baroque-style cathedral. Free time in the village of Pizzo, where you can walk through the narrow streets and taste a genuine Calabrian ice cream, the Tartufo. You'll round off the day with a visit to the magnificent church of Piedigrotta.

“Have a taste of everything” Resort. Calabria, “the pearl of the South”, has its own authentic charm. The Club Med Resort lies in 20 hectares of idyllic Mediterranean garden. Revamped by Aurelia Design, its new contemporary lines use a subtle mix of wood and stone. Tempt your tastebuds in the charming bamboo decor of the Terrazza or on the terrace of the Bougainvillier. Try the new Spa*, veritable haven of well-being, and entrust your little ones to the gentle cocooning of Baby Club Med®*. Round off a perfect day down on the beach, where the bar disco awaits you for memorable evenings.

Beach

Superb 200-yard stretch of public beach (reserved for the Club Med) located approximately 450 yards from the centre of the Resort, with access via a beautiful pine grove. The sand is medium-grain, with a zone of tiny pebbles along the water’s edge. Defined swimming area. Equipped with deckchairs, parasols, showers and a beach bar.
