The Olympus

BABY CORNER special service

This Baby Zone offers a special service for babies (sweet and savoury baby foods and all the equipment for preparing your babys meals). There are two Baby Zones, one in ech of the Resorts general buffet restaurants.

Club Med Baby Welcome® (from 0 to 23 months) Included in your package

The little darlings feel right at home thanks to this service, included in your Package. Everything has been thought of as concerns the babies' comfort and the parents' well-being.

Petit Club Med® (from 2 to less than 4 years) OPTIONAL EXTRA*

At this age, we are no longer a baby, but we still need to be closely monitored. It’s the time for those first discoveries: the leisure of waking, walking and outdoor play, a full and balanced breakfast (especially designed for the needs of the young), a nap or quiet time, creative activities and of course, snack time, a true feast for those with a sweet tooth! The activities follow the progress of children, distributed into age groups. From 7.30 pm, after dinner with parents, children return to the Petit Club Med®. While the parents have a peaceful dinner, the young ones finish their day with a calm evening. For your information: Nappies and baby milk are not provided at the Petit Club Med®.

Mini Club Med® (from 4 to less than 11 years) Included in your package

Create and let off steam. At this age, children have a thirst for everything... The Mini Club Med® has planned everything to respond to this need of discovery in all directions. Sport, fun and creative activities. Children are distributed into sub-groups according to their age. One hour shower stop before dinner.

Club Med Passworld® (from 11 to less than 18 years) Included in your package

The Club Med Passworld® proposes everything but imposes nothing; an approach that delights teenagers. It provides them with an exclusive area dedicated to meeting others and expressing oneself not far from the centre of the Village. The exclusive area in this Village is La Costumerie. Here the teenagers can discover creative, sport and artistic activities such as: lessons in dance, video, mixing, film, theatre, etc., have fun or turn up for the pleasure of just hanging out. They are divided into two age-groups.

Baby Restaurant Included in your package

Adapted to the nutritional needs of children, the meals are created by a team of specialist chefs of the Baby Restaurant. At the Baby Restaurant, the G.O® takes on the entire responsibility of lunch but parents can share this time with their child(ren) if they wish.

Antalya (half-day)

Between the peaks of the Taurus Mountains and the dazzling Mediterranean Sea, this flourishing city is a jewel in the Turkish crown. In the heart of the historic city centre, Ottoman houses and Roman ruins take us into the heart of historic legend. Make the most of your free time to wander through the labyrinth of narrow streets under the city walls, leading to the port where you can do your shopping. For information:

Cruise and Phaselis (1 day)

As you relax on the deck of a caïque (traditional wooden sailboat), you'll suddenly see Phaselis come into sight. After sailing along the Turquoise coast, your caïque will drop anchor and a little ferry boat will take you to the shore. The ruins of Phaselis - Roman and Byzantine - are a magnificent site to visit. Then it's back onto the boat for a picnic of Turkish specialities and a swim in a creek to round off this day during which nature and culture are in perfect harmony. For your information:

Demre - Myra - Simena (1 day)

Recommended by the Excursions desk. Perched above a superb hamlet overlooking the turquoise sea, the crusaders' fortress incites the traveller to stop and explore. Demre lies in the heart of this fertile delta, accessible via the road that winds down from the mountains. St Nicholas, better known as Father Christmas, is said to have lived in this holy town, and Saint Paul stopped over here on his way to Rome. Myra lies 2 kms inland to the east, with its Greco-Roman theatre and Lycian tombs dug out of the rock face. After a typical local lunch, sail along the coast in a caïque (Turkish style rowing boat) to the sunken city of Simena, admire the Lycian necropolis and swim in the warm blue sea. For information:

• Travel time: 1 hour 15 minutes to Demre and 45 minutes by boat to Myra, then 30 minutes.

Dolphinarium (1/2 day)

Watch the show, and swim with the dolphins. These "angels of the sea" have a perpetual smile and infinitely soft skin, like tightly stretched silk. "Meeting the dolphins" - swimming with them and simply spending a moment in their company in an enclosed area - is an exceptional and emotional experience.

Fabulous Istanbul (1 day)

East and West meet here. A legendary city regarded as the most luxurious stopover, Istanbul* delights all those who visit it. Blending nostalgia and modernity, each building tells entire eras of history. The Blue Mosque and the Santa Sophia Basilica, the ancient hippodrome, the treasure of the Topkapi Palace and the great Bazaar for shopping. Fascinating walks, cruises on the Bosphorus and meals in speciality restaurants are other highlights of a stay in Istanbul. Pamukkale and Hierapolis (1 day)

For the lucky visitors of Pamukkale*, nature has created the spectacular Cotton Castle with its magical petrified waterfalls. Just like in a dream, admire the strange shapes of these dazzling white falls of petrified mineral water. The hot springs were used by the Romans, for their therapeutic powers. After lunch, you'll see Hierapolis rising up from a cotton field. Its necropolises, temples, churches, thermal baths and theatres will help you appreciate the secrets of this city that takes us back to the grandiose days of the Romans. *A UNESCO World Heritage site. Perge - Aspendos (1/2 day)

According to legend, many years ago, the king of Aspendos promised the hand of his daughter Semiramis to the person who built her the most beautiful monument. We are just 15 kms (9 miles) from the frenzy of the beaches. The ancient city of Perge owes its fame to its immense Roman and Hellenistic gates. Located between the theatre and the city walls, the horseshoe-shaped ruins of the largest stadium in Asia Minor enabled 12,000 spectators to watch the games and chariot races. Founded in the 2nd century in the reign of Marcus Aurelius, Aspendos is home to the most beautiful Roman theatre in the whole of Asia Minor, which has an unusual and fascinating feature: a wall of niches. This journey through time will demonstrate how pioneering the Romans were in sports and leisure activities. For information:

Sunset cruise

Legend has it that the Garden of Eden lies somewhere along the Lycian coast. As the gentle light enhances and enchants the contours of the landscape, your Turkish sailing boat, like the ancient schooners, glides silently over the idyllic blue waters. From your comfortable vantage point on deck, soak up the perfection of your surroundings, with their exotically wild creeks and rugged mountains. For information:

Trekking in the Kuzdere Valley (1/2 day)

In a fabulous setting, take the mule tracks lined with orange trees and bougainvillea, running through the mountains and along the coast. Spectacular view of the Phaselis peninsula.

4x4 Safare (1/2 day)

The convoy makes its way up into the Taurus Mountains through pine forests and nomadic villages perched in the foothills of Mount Tahtali. You'll see some fabulous scenery as your 4x4 vehicle winds its way up, until at 1,000 metres (3,300 ft), the village of Gedelme suddenly comes into sight. Walk through the narrow streets of this typical village its highly hospitable inhabitants; the two focal points of the visit are the castle and a plane tree over a thousand years of age. You can taste the local tea and bread, and take a dip in the river. For information:

The Club Med Pass® is an internal payment card that you can use for all your purchases in the Resort during your stay. The card is issued against payment of a 250 Euro deposit (pre-authorisation by Visa, Club Med Amex, Amex or Mastercard).

The Resort has a resident nurse. Antalya Hospital is about 45 minutes from the Resort (equipped with a decompression chamber). As a preventive measure against bird flu, you are advised not to visit bird markets or zoos. Hospital (Antalya) : At 15km from the Village of Beldi and 7km from the Village of Palmiye.

Climate

In summer, Turkey is a dreamed country for the lovers of the sea and the sun. On the west and south coasts, the summer is dry and particularly sunny. In the South, in Antalya, the temperature of the sea reaches 20°C (68°F) from the end of April and goes up to 27°C (80.6°F) in July, August, and 23°C (73.5°F) in September, October. Nights are cool at the beginning and at the end of season.
