BABY RESTAURANT

The meals are devised by the Baby Restaurant team of specialist chefs, to satisfy babies' specific needs. At the Baby Restaurant, the G.O®s take charge of lunch, but parents can share it with their children if they wish.

This Baby corner, in the Resort's main restaurant, offers a special service for babies, with sweet and savoury baby foods and all the equipment necessary for preparing your baby's meals.

BABY FEEDING AND EQUIPMENT ROOM

Open 24 hours a day, it provides all the utensils necessary for preparing meals: mixer, sterilizer (provided only on request), microwave, fridge, bottle warmer (systematically provided in the room for the G.M.® who have reserved a Baby Club Med® or Club Med Baby Welcome® service), and additional products such as mineral water, fruit, full-fat and semi-skimmed long-life milk (baby formula milk not provided).

BABYSITTING

To enjoy a moment of total freedom, take advantage of the baby-sitting service, day or evening. For information: we provide a list of baby-sitting services on request, but Club Med has no responsibility for the service.

CLUB MED BABY WELCOME® (FROM BIRTH TO UNDER 2)

We’ve done everything in our power to ensure the comfort and well-being of parents and babies. Personal welcome, baby-care material available in your room and/or in the baby feeding and equipment room (cot, changing mat, baby bath, high chair on request, bottle-warmer), sweet and savoury baby foods, Baby corner equipped to prepare babies' meals, high chairs and/or booster cushions in the restaurant. Spare pushchairs are also available if required.

Discovery

Bangkok (à la carte)

You can visit Bangkok in one or two days:

• 1 day: visit the citys main monuments: the Palace, the Emerald Buddha and Wat Pho. After lunch, a delightful boat ride through the Klongs.
• 2 days - 1 night: Guided tour of the most important sights: the Palace, the Emerald Buddha, Wat Pho, a boat ride through the Klongs and the floating market. Free time for shopping.

Included: French guide, entry to the sites, 3 meals and one night in the 5-star Shangri-La Hotel.

Elephant-back Safari (1/2 day)

Discover the pleasure of an elephant ride (30 mn), and watch baby elephants and monkeys being trained. Demonstration of sap collection from a rubber tree, trip in a water-buffalo cart and finally a chance to taste Thai cuisine.

Phang Nga Bay by junk (1 day)

Excursion recommended by our Discovery Excursions office. Embark on board a beautiful junk for a fabulous cruise. You will discover the bay of Phang Nga*, where strange rock formations emerge from the sea. You will sail through the mangrove swamp on board a traditional long-tailed boat and visit the village of the sea gypsies. After a delicious lunch (Thai buffet) on board, you will have a chance to swim. A must! *A UNESCO world heritage site. For your information

One of the beaches, Maya Beach, is world famous as the setting for the film The Beach, starring Leonardo DiCaprio. Not to be missed!

Climate

The most pleasant period is from mid-November to mid February, which is also called the « fresh season », though the temperature remain high. From November to April, the water is calm. From January to February, the wind is strong. From May to October, there is no water sport available ; west wind and strong currents, tides can reach 1.50 m to 2.50 (4.92 ft to 8.20 ft). Between mid-March to mid-May, it is the hot season. Till the end of November, it is the wet season. The heat is a bit less strong but humidity can make it difficult to bear. The temperature of the sea is a dream.

Village Information

"Feel renewed" Resort

Have a taste of everything Resort. In Kata Bay, south of Bangkok, the Club Med Village on the island of Phuket stretches out under palm trees caressed by the breeze. Bungalows, built in the style of the local “long-houses” and decorated with teak, silk and marble, exude a Zen spirit in this idyllic garden where you can practise yoga beneath the frangipani trees.
