The Waterfall

Located on the 2nd floor of the main building, this restaurant offers you a wide selection of international dishes at the buffet. Our team prepares a selection of low-calory meals daily, and local specialities for you to discover. Parents can use the Baby Zone to prepare meals for their little ones. There is one smoking area inside this non-smoking restaurant. List of equipment :

The Terrace

Located at the waters edge, this intimate restaurant offers a magnificent view over the South China Sea. This restaurant welcomes you for late breakfast and lunch, after a round of golf, for example. BABY CORNER special service

This Baby Zone, in the Resorts general buffet restaurant, proposes a special service for babies, with sweet and savoury baby foods and all the equipment necessary for preparing your babys meals.

Available all day and evening (during bar opening hours) in all the bars in the Resort (including the nightclub). Transport package

Your package includes return flights and transfers to and from the Resort. Due to the rough seas and strong currents from November to April, you may need to take a remedy for seasickness before boarding the ferry from Singapore to Bintan Island.

Getting to the Resort

For customers who have not bought the transport package Airport / Ferry terminal, transfer by taxi. Singapore airport is 15 kms (9 miles) from the maritime station. Transfer takes 10 minutes.* Price : Summer 2008 not yet available (prices given as an indication, subject to exchange rate): One way: 15 EUR. Bintan port / Resort, transfer by taxi. The port of Bintan is 12 kms (7.5 miles) from the Resort. Village Information

"Feel renewed" Resort

Feel renewed Resort. The Island of Bintan to the south of Singapore is full of history, marked by fallen empires and the spice trade. Its tranquil bays were long used by the Orang Laut pirates as a refuge. This is the site of the Ria Bintan Club Med Resort, a haven of tranquillity and refinement combining modernity with Asian tradition.

From the terrace of the Panorama Bar, lapis-lazuli blue, mother of pearl and emerald hues are a feast for the eyes, from the infinity pool to the lush gardens.

Ria Bintan is also a golfer’s paradise, with some of the finest courses* in Asia nearby.

Beach

The two and a half kilometre (one and a half mile) stretch of fine white sandy beach is public, but access only via the Club Med Resort. A haven of peace, just a stone’s throw from the Club. The beach has deckchairs, parasols, showers and a bar. No lifeguards present.

We advise you not to swim in the sea between November and April because of the strong currents.

Parks and Gardens

The gardens have palm trees and numerous species of tropical plants. There are ornamental lakes, and a magnificent waterfall that flows into the swimming pool.
