BABY CORNER special service

This Baby Zone, in the Resorts general buffet restaurant, proposes sweet and savoury baby foods and the equipment necessary to prepare your babies meals.

The Wakka

Open throughout the day, this bar, located in the centre of the hotel with a view over the neighbouring mountains, welcomes you in a pleasant setting with typical Japanese décor. In the evening, enjoy a quietly refined piano bar/lounge atmosphere. Snacks served. The bar has a children's area serving non-alcoholic drinks and sweets.

Alpine skiing

Included in your package

All the sensations of the ski slopes, at your own pace. Professional ski instructors, who are perfectly familiar with the ski domain, will guide you over the slopes best suited to your level of skill, to ensure you progress safely but surely in the best possible conditions.

A test on the first morning will determine your level, and the right class for you:

• Beginners: this is your first experience of Alpine skiing
• Class 1: you can control your speed, and are at ease on blue runs
• Class 2: you can negotiate red runs at a reasonable speed
• Class 3: you are at ease on all runs
• Expert: you are at ease on all types of terrain and snow

Ski pass included NB: if you wish to ski on your day of arrival, you can purchase a one-day pass, on site.

Organisation of tuition:

CLUB MED BABY WELCOME® (FROM 4 MONTHS TO UNDER 2)

We’ve done everything in our power to ensure the comfort and well-being of parents and babies. Personal welcome, baby-care material available in your room and/or in the baby care room (cot, changing mat, baby bath, high chair on request, bottle-warmer), sweet and savoury baby foods, Baby Zone equipped to prepare babies' meals, high chairs and/or booster cushions in the restaurant. Spare pushchairs are also available if required.

PLAYGROUND

The playgrounds independent of the children's club facilities, are open to all children, accompanied by their parents.

PYJAMAS CLUB®

The Pyjamas Club leaves parents free to organise their evening as they wish. This group babysitting service run by experienced G.O®s in a dedicated area provides all the necessary comforts (beds, daybeds, video area, etc).

Discovery

A stay at the Club Med is always the perfect opportunity to leave everyday realities behind and experience something completely new. The excursions programme is given as an indication.

Ait trip (1/2 day)

A half-day trek accompanied by a guide from Hokkaido, a specialist of local plant and animal life.

Asahiyama Zoo (1 day)

One of the most popular zoos in Japan. Polar bears, penguins, seals and orangutans are among the extraordinary creatures that make this zoo a great family outing. Lunch, followed by a visit to a lavender farm (only in July), the viewpoint near Biei and finally shopping in Ningru. For your information

Bear Mountain (1 day)

In the mountains of Sahoro, discover a real brown bear sanctuary.

Flora and fauna discovery - ecotourism excursion (1 day)

Discover the woods, the nearby lake and nature reserve, which combine all the wonders of a well-preserved natural environment. Accompanied by local guides, youll discover the most stunning plant and animal life. The days schedule includes talks by speakers with in-depth knowledge of the region.

Lake Shikaribetsu (1/2 day)

Visit Lake Shikaribetsu, one of the most beautiful and mysterious lakes in Hokkaido, and the forest of Taisetsu (national park).

Milking the cows (2 hours)

Try the farming life, for a few hours. Set off at dawn to milk the cows in the open air on a traditional farm at Yumu Bokujo.

Soba making

If youre interested in learning the secret of making these famous Japanese noodles, this is the chance to take a lesson from our chefs, followed by a tasting session.

Spring in Tomuraushi (1/2 day)

Tomuraushi is a region where the spring colours are particularly dazzling: youll be enchanted by the mountains and the fabulous plant and animal life.

Strawberry picking (2 hours)

On the Tokachi plain, you can fill your basket with precious red berries.

The lavender route (1/2 day)

Visit the lavender fields of the Furano region, Japans most renowned lavender-growing region. Excursion available only in July.

Climate

The climate is rather rainy the whole year round and there are four definite seasons. The best seasons to visit Japan are Spring and Autumn. Summer is the most rainy season except in Hokkaido, where our Village is located. The island enjoys a less rainy and hot summer. In Winter, snowfalls are heavy from December to March on Hokkaido, which enables skiing on the main summits. Winters are icy cold. GMs should bring warm clothes.
