The Discovery Centre is an open window onto the local culture. Each Club Med Resort is a springboard for exploring the country's hidden treasures. The programme of excursions and the prices are given as an indication only. Prices can change during the season according to the current rate of the country. Excursions have to be paid on the premises with local currency. Subject to minimum number of participants being met. Minimum age required for some activities.
- A day in Luxor by bus (1 day) Visit to the temple of Karnak, the most prestigious sanctuary of the Gods Amoun-Ra. Lunch at Club Med. Visit to Thebes in ancient Luxor begins with the Necropolis, the Valley of Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsout, followed by the elegant Temple of Luxor
- A day on board the Galatea (1 day) Wild landscapes and beautiful little coves are to be seen on your trip on this beautiful sailboat. Your guide will help you discover the coral reef which surrounds the islands, as well as the fabulous sea beds with their colourful flora. A barbecue will be served on the beach. Relaxation and happy times on this unforgettable day. ( Drinks not included)
- Admire the stars A 40 km off-road tour in the desert through the high mountains of the Red Sea up to the observatory. Two stops are planned to admire the panorama of the region and the sunset. A tea break with the Bedouin followed by a barbecue. Then, explore the sky with a guide and then by telescope. You will get a chance to observe 6 of the 7 Wonders of the Universe depending on the time of year..
- Discover the island by quadbike (1/2 day) Discover the desert and try out the fantastic quad bikes.
- Giftun Mahmeya Island (1 day) Mahmeya is an island which offers a complete escape into a musical and friendly atmosphere on a fantastic beach. Rental of snorkeling equipment is included (flippers, mask and snorkel).
- Glass-bottomed boat
Appreciate this magnificent excursion on a glass-bottomed catamaran allowing you to observe and to photograph the marine life and coral reefs without getting wet.
Excursion to Hurghada, in Marina Intercontinentale. - Luxor by night, by bus (2 days) Thebes in 2 days for a more complete visit including the tombs of the Valley of the Queens. You will also have free time to browse through the bazaars of Luxor. In the evening, enjoy the incomparable "son et lumière" show in Karnak. This night and all the meals are organized at the Club Med village in Luxor (or similar).
- Visit to Cairo by plane (1 day)
After a flight (1hr 15mins) arrival in Cairo.
Visit to the citadel of Salah El Din the Mohamed Ali mosque in Cairo, followed by the incredible museum of Cairo, with the Treasures of Tutankhamen.
Lunch and travel to the Pyramids of Guizeh and the Sphinx through the valley temple.
Return flight to Hurghada at the end of the day and dinner in the Village.
