Chaouen (1 day) Recommended by our Excursions desk. Take the time to experience Chaouen, the pearl of the Rif and one of the seven wonders of Morocco. In the morning, visit one of Morocco's holy medinas and the kasbah, a national heritage site, with its regional art museum, Andalusian garden, wash-houses and watermill. Lunch in a 19th-century riad. Tangier (1 day) Recommended by our Excursions desk. At the extreme north-western tip of Africa, Tangier** is a magical place where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean and legend meets history. Cap Spartel, the Caves of Hercules, the kasbah, the medina and the Grand Socco are all wonderful sites to visit. With its Berber and Andalousian style, its souks and Jewish and Moorish areas, the city has a wealth of secrets, fragrances and delicate flavours to discover.

The Bay of Tamuda in a catamaran (à la carte) This catamaran, 12 metres by 7 (40 x 23 ft), is a great way of exploring the coast around Tétouan. Between Sebta and Cabo Negro there are lots of unspoilt creeks, and the Rif mountains rise straight out of the Mediterranean. You might be lucky enough to spot some dolphins. You can book the catamaran for a private outing with family or friends, maximum 10 people.
Tétouan (1/2 day) Discover Granada's "favourite daughter", the city of Tétouan**, with its mountain peaks, its Berber and Andalusian styles, its medina and souks, its Jewish and Moorish areas.

Tétouan - Chaouen (1 day) The capital of northern Morocco welcomes you with its highly refined decor of patios, public baths and souks, where every alleyway takes you into a new world. Discover the local gastronomy, in the only Riad ranked as a historical monument. Tetouan, holy city and symbol of Berber resistance, is a UNESCO world heritage site. Chaouen, perched high in the Rif mountains, is a picturesque blue and white village which can't fail to charm you with its strong Mediterranean identity.
