    Vaccination against meningitis may be advisable (in the case of close and prolonged contact with the local population in the dry season between December and June).

    The best season to go to Senegal is the dry season, which lasts from the beginning or mid-October to the end of May or June according to the regions. During the dry season (in winter) it nearly does not rain but it is cool in the morning and in the evening. You can go bathing all year long in Senegal. The temperature of the sea goes from 21°C (70°F) between February and April to 27°C (80,6°F) in October and November.
