The Discovery Centre offers a large choice of excursions which allow you to discover the country. The excursions programme and prices are given for information only. Prices may change during the season according to the current applicable rates in the country. Excursions fees have to be settled on the premises in local currencies.
- Chenini et Tataouine (1 day)
Made famous by its military penal colony, Tataouine, hidden in its Far-West setting, is now a peaceful town with a quiet charm, animated by its small souk.
In Chenini, you will discover the amazing spectacle of houses hollowed out in the jagged faces of a mountain amphitheatre.
After lunch, you will visit the fortified granaries of Ksar-Hadada with its magnificent ghorfas grouped together in dozens just like honeycombs. - Island tour (1/2 day) Discover the master potters of Guellala. Visit the Laghriba synagogue. < br > < br > Finally, enjoy 2 hours of free time in the island's charming capital of Houmt-Souk, which has retained all of its authenticity in the maze of its streets, souks and small squares.
- Ksar Ghilaine (2 days)
A first day through the Reg (stone desert). Stop between the superb ghorfas of Ksar-Hallouf and a picnic before you plunge into the majestic Sahara.
In Aïn Essbat, we promise you an unforgettable night in a Bedouin camp in the heart of the dunes of the Great erg and the watch the spectacle of dawn, just like the setting breathtaking.
On day two, discover the Berber world with the amazing village of Tamezret and the troglodytic houses of Matmata – not to be missed. - Picnic in a boat (1 day) From Houmt-Souk, board "La Perle" and sail away to one of Djerba's finest beaches, the flamingo island. < br > < br > Meet fishermen, enjoy the fish barbecue, swim
- Raid Matmata (1 day)
Cross the Jeffara alluvial plain and its stone desert up to the rocky plateau of Dahar with its impressive panoramas.
Discover the life of the Amaigh Berbers and their legendary habitat. The troglodytic houses and their vast craters give the landscape of Matmata an almost surreal strange character.
Let your dromedary, at a walking pace, guide you through this unusual setting chosen to shoot the film " Star Wars "... - The other Djerba (1/2 day) Away from the tourist traps, travel through Djerba's countryside, lined with orchards, olive groves and palm groves, dotted with traditional Menzel-style villages. < br > < br > Visit an old mosque dating back over two centuries, and discover the fishing port of Ajim, along with a multitude of amazingly beautiful small deserted beaches. < br > < br > In a traditional Djerban home, savour some famous mint tea.
- The Saharan
A realm of silence in the orange reflections and landscapes of awesome dunes, we help you discover the mythical Sahara par excellence.
Day 1: Follow the Roman road to reach Médenine, and discover the impressive ghorfas of Ksar Hallouf. After the visit, stop in Bir Soltan before having lunch, the very beautiful oasis of said Douz the " guardian of the Great Erg ". In the afternoon, head to the camp of Sabria where a caravan of dromedaries awaits you for a walk amidst dunes. Dine and spend a night in the camp.
Day 2: magical spectacle of the sunrise in the Sahara, before leaving for the weekly market of Douz. Free time and departure for Matmata, village cave dwelling perched up at an altitude of 600 m in the middle of a lunar landscape, where the film" Star Wars " was shot. - Tozeur (2 days) Visit Red Tozeur, nestled in a vast palm grove
- Zarzis market (1/2 day) Take the Roman road to reach Zarzis, a little port lined with date trees, olive trees and beautiful beaches. < Br > < br > Traditional market with fruit and vegetables, spices and animals. A chance to go shopping. < Br > < br > The authentic Tunisia.
